The non-slip handle and base provide good stability so the grater can easily handle grating large quantities of food. The grater has five grating surfaces: fine, coarse, ultra-coarse, shaver, and ginger.

The fine grating surface zests lemons and limes in seconds, grates' parmesan and other hard cheeses light and fluffy, finely grates' nuts, nutmeg, and cinnamon for baking and decorating, and purées garlic instantly.

The coarse grating surface grates chocolate and shreds coconut for baking and decorating, grates vegetables, raw horseradish, hard-boiled eggs, and chilled butter for pastry.
